Victorian setting + fey apocalypse

Good morning EN World!

I need some suggestions for inspirational products for this setting idea: A victorian/steampunk world has fallen apart - literally. The old nations, in their wild ambition, sought out ancient powers that they did not comprehend, and their war tore the world into thousands of demiplanes, spinning amidst the little-known but manifold realms of the fey.

300 years have passed since the sundering.

PC races are Fen (gnome, changeling, or elf), Forged (warforged, ironborn), Feral (hairy dwarves, orcs, goliaths, or halflings) and Folk (humans).

Any suggestions for a victorian setting I can apocalize, or a fey with lots of content?

Etherscope

Hi
the main available rules and setting for Victorian Steampunk right now is Goodman Game's Etherscope

The softcover is coming out in a few months, the hardcover is available in many locations

Go check it out at

I love Etherscope, but its not really what you want unless you intend to do a ton of refitting to the setting to make it postapocolytpic.

Adamant has its Imperial Age line, although not many books are out for it yet. There are two advanced classes and a Magick book (which I am quite proud of if I do say so myself) but a GMs book and a steampunk tech book are both on the schedule for release and I am, even as I type this, working on a as yet unannounced book that will really play into what you are talking about.

So my suggstion: be patient. Or just do it yourself. Part of the question is going to be what system do you want to use. Etherscope has its own, based on d20 M, and Imperial Age is d20 M. You could concivably take something like Masque of the Red Death and use it. Heck, you could even do it with Mutants and Masterminds or White Wolf's new World of Darkness plus Second Sight.

I'll actually be using d20, cap of level 6, with feat purchases afterwards. I'll look at Etherscope for inspiration - I don't need a postapocalyptic setting, just a victorian setting I can wreck.

Hey Rip, what the heck is the Amazing engine?

It's an RPG that TSR released in the early '90s. According to the ad they mailed out at the time, "it's supposed be a revolution!"

The main gimmick was that your character in one campaign could earn experience for your character in another campaign, somehow. It was very rules-light; the main rules were contained in a thin pamphlet, while the campaign settings gave more specific information tailored to that setting.

It was not, however, compatible with AD&D, which is probably a big part of why they had to stop making it. There were several eccentric campaign settings released for it - King Arthur in the future, Bughunters (like the Alien movies), and For Faerie, Queen, and Country.

Anyway, the FQ&C campaign setting has interesting material in it and isn't very thick with stats.
