So..anyways This topic is a reposting of the characters currently approved in the Vile storyline. I am posting this because I've heard rumors of a false Vile roaming Wizards lately. So you guys are still around then. I've been wondering what happened to the Viles.

Any plans for a Vile revival storyline? It'd be nice to see a really evil group running around again.

There isn't one but four fake vile characters that I have seen.....if I notice them again I will email you the names and the times that they have been on site so it can be reported if that is what you wish to do since they basically are encroaching on the group idea and should be dealt with accordingly. I won't do a direct reporting to any Wizo seeing that an addition could be made and not up on the approved list yet.

You can NOT report someone, just for having the name Vile or Ilye in front of their name.

Nothing can be done about it, except let folks know they aren't involved as a part of your group.

As for a revival storyline, who knows. It's a good possibility, and if we do have one I'm sure it'll be posted on the boards so those who wish to be involved can be.

Just posting with a few thoughts.

First off, it's good to see that the Viles are back. I never saw them in their prime, but it's good to know that they are still around. Having only been around for seven months now, I missed out on the days where the Viles were so prevalent, but I've heard about them from Nugan. I've only seen a few Viles in the rooms, probably because of my strange hours, but that's really kind of irrelenvant. But at any rate, good to see some real organized evil back in business.

As for reporting unnofficial characters with "Vile" or "Ilye" tags, I'm not sure. I would tend to lean toward agreeing with Dontella on this one, but there is a possible flaw there. The factor of impersonation and harassment. I'm not sure if claiming to be a Vile when not one would be grounds for harassment or not, but it does ring true of impersonation to me. Of course, I could be completely wrong there.

If only it was, but it isn't. Anyone can go sign up for a Vile or Ilye name and, so long as it's not one already taken, there's no stopping this. Thus our only way to keep a handle on things is through this listing. This is why we say if you don't see the name up here, then they aren't part of the true Vile storyline. We also do this because, if I remember correctly (because it was just slightly before my debut as Sena), people would come online masquerading as a Vile and act in such a way as to give a bad impression about the group. Since there wasn't anything that we could do so far as the CoC goes, this was our solution.

So remember...if they aren't here, they aren't valid
