Virtual Rubbernecking

The Nerd WhoFell to Earth
Whenever I see a locked thread I often have to check the last page to see why it was locked. Even if it's a thread that I don't have a particular interest in, I have to pause my browsing to rubberneck before moving on. Is anyeone else is guilty of virtual rubbernecking like me?

All the time. I like to see who crossed the line. It's like watching an accident. It's disturbing, but at the same time you can't stop looking.

I do it as a reminder of how to keep myself in check.

Aaaand sometimes for a bit of schadenfreude if I'm sure the persons who got mod-whacked are among those I don't think too highly of...

It is funny to me how often I cannot read a goodly percentage of the last ten or twenty posts before a mod lock due to my Ignore list.

But I do check the last bit of a closed thread very often out of curiosity.

Right now in the 4Ed forum is a priceless triptych of threads created by a poster who appears to have no freaking clue as to how things work. I LOLed. A lot!

It's like he never read the ToS AND doesn't understand what moderators do! Priceless!

I concur. Very good times. It helps to have chuckles during my busiest time of the year (why does everyone wait until the last minute to do their tax returns?)
