Vitriolic Blast question

Does the damage over time from vitriolic blast stack? For example, if I hit someone twice with it, will they take 4d6 damage per round?

i asked this question befor and someone said they stack. and said first hit gets one arm next hit gets a leg and so forth and the next round both hits keep burning.

They "stack" though there is really no stacking going on. Both spells deal damage and damage doesn't have to "stack" to be effective. So if you cast vitrolic blast then acid arrow the next round then an acid substituted fireball the next round they take full damage from all spells. Vitrolic blast is simply no different than that.
