Which of these sets do you think are the best?

Up until today I had pretty much dismissed these as gimmicky garbage. But today I actually had a look at the physical product and I have to say that I'm now intrigued and want to subscribe to the newsletter.

Of course, I'm pretty bloody late to the party (as usual) and there are now a bunch of sets out. Since I can't afford to buy all of them at once, I'd like to know which ones are the best and also which ones people have bought multiple copies of as they get used at the table a lot.

I suppose this thread will be useful for you. :)

I mostly use the tiles from the regular dungeon sets, i.e. not the caverns or wilderness (though those have seen some use, too).

While not perfect, they are definitely very useful. I'm always missing accessories, though, they should have MANY more of those. And some more uneven room tiles (i.e. not 2x4, 4x4, 2x8, etc ; but 3x3, 5x5, 1x4, etc).

For me, Ruins of the Wild is easily the best. I got two sets, and kind of wish I had a third one. After that, it's a toss-up between the yellow sandstone ones and Caves of Carnage.

ps - Don't pay more than $15-$20 for any one set.

Lost Caverns for me.

Ruins of the Wilderness I like but #1 ?!?

That said I wouldn't mind another outdoor themed one ;)

Water themed and a ship would be awesome also for future sets. (hint hint)

DU5 Dungeon Tiles: Sinister Woods

There is a ship available as tiles in the RPGA DM Rewards program.

Considering Ruins of Wild is the only outdoor, of course it is popular. I am waiting for Sinister woods myself, as I bought two of the Wilds one, and owuld like more outdoor variety.

Hmm, so far it seems I should first get Ruins of the Wild, Caves of Carnage &
Streets of Shadow.

Although it'd be nice if there were more votes :)

I voted for those 3 plus Lost Caverns, Dire Tombs and Hall of the Giant Kings. THese give an excellent mix of dungeon corridors, rooms and props. I have 3+ sets of every release to date and find I use these 6 the most. I'm eagerly waiting for Arcane Towers and Sinister Woods. I was disappointed they discontinued the Star Wars line.
