Vow of Poverty and Spellbooks

Glad to hear that. So when I capture a spellbook, how much can I sell it for?

I think the cost was the spellbook itself + one-half the cost to scribe any spells inside.

It looks to me like vow of poverty is

a) Worthless for the fighter, barbarian, ranger and paladin. They'll almost always require magical weapons, and armour will almost always be superior to the bonuses gained from the vow

b) Worthless to the wizard, because he needs a spellbook

c) of debateable value to a cleric, because he benefits significantly from magical weapons and armour

d) Awesome for monks, druids and sorcerors, because they benefit in only a minor way from magical weapons and armour

The only unplayable PC is the wiazard tho, and and the vow of poverty could make for a fun game for anyone else.

I'm not sure why a druid doesn't benefit from magical arms and armour however.

3.5 seemingly to satisfy whiners introduced a 'wild' armor property that lets druids gain the ac benafits of the enchanted armor while in thier wildshape. its not that cheap at least at +3 market modifier [you only get the ac and enhancement bonuses of the armo rBTW]. but just wait till the twinks with the dragonscale full plate start showing up.
