My bet is the VT will end up being free, since the fact that it will be integrated with the rest of the DDI will give people heavy incentives to sign up for DDI, and make use of those functions.

Kind of like xbox live silver vrs gold membership... Silver is free, and you can do some stuff... But Gold gets you all kinds of cool stuff you just HAVE to have.

It's not a monster builder per se, but an advanced monster browsing tool that allows you to adjust level.

OK, I give up for now. Hopefully eventually WotC will get it together on the DDI stuff, but at this point I can't see giving them money for it until they do- and I'm really bummed to feel that way about it.
