Most of the streets seem empty. OCcasionally, an unarmed person will run by, completely oblivious to you. Once, a group of warriors dash past a crossing intersection, though none of them pay you any mind.

***

The woman follows Shadow for a few moments, tugging on his arm, before realizing he has no desire to help her, and then calls out "SADIE!", over and over again, wandering down alleyways. You can hear her a long time after she disappears.

***

After a few minutes heading down the streets, you come across several men, breaking down the walls of a building with axes. There are seven of them, and they all carry heavy lumber axes or two-handed hammers. All of them have backpacks, filled with stuff.

The building they are knocking into is obviously an abandoned shop, with a shattered glass window lined with iron bars. The men are trying to knock a hole through the wall - it appears the door is made of iron.

None of them notice you.

OOC: You betcha. And none of the buildings nearby are burning, though they will be in a few hours, if the winds keep.

OOC: Um, Shadow was going to help...oh well.

Shadow watches the men silently, waiting to see their intentions.

If you want, you can help her. I just like to keep things moving. We can retcon, if you'd like.

T'Ranis looks over the looters coldly, finding their behavior mildly offensive. In the grand scheme of things, however, the looting is only a minor nuisance. He will not engage them in combat unless someone else starts a confrontation between the looters and the party. Likewise, it doesn't occur to him to stop himself in order to loot the store.

Tondrek looks at the men doing bad things, then at the group. He looks a bit sad and confused at why the people are trying to steal. He tugs at Lori's shirt, pointing. "But... bad! Shouldn't we stop them?"

The obvious crime of the looters tugs at Guardian, and he looks to Shadow and Haltash, "Should we take the time to stop these looters? It will delay us in reaching our destination, and the monastery may fall before we get there, but ..." his voice trails off and he leaves the rest unsaid.

"They will create a firebreak, and what isn't taken will likely burn away otherwise anyway. I don't condone it, but we have more important things to consider at the moment." Lori says. There is some doubt in her voice though.
