OOC: Just checked out the spell description. Lori can cast it on three people. A little off-topic, but when did it become an immediate action? Of course, it's a good idea, but still. Little surprised on that one.

Feather fall is given as an example of an immediate action, and if you use the immediate action rules it is considered one.

Can we take 10 on skill checks at the moment or are we considered under fire?

OOC: The second one. The ship is bouncing around too much for you to really steady yourself.

Guardian looks over the edge a little dubiously. He glances back at his companions looking for an alternative.

OOC: Umm, if Lori doesn't mind, could Guardian get a little feather falling? If not, he'll attempt to climb down. :heh:

OOC: If Lori doesn't mind, could Shadow get some too?

Shadow hates climbing. So he waits, hoping for someone else to go first.

Instead of climbing down the rope, would it be possible to jump down while using the rope to get a circumstance bonus on my jump and tumble checks?

OOC: I suppose I'd allow it. But it'd be kind of weird to see. I guess you would jump down, grab the rope, swing, and then let go, landing on the ground below. Could be kind of interesting.

DC 15 jump check and DC 15 Tumble Check (1d20+7=12, 1d20+13=14)

T'Ranis boldly grabas a hold of the rope, swinging down it and usies his Catfall psi like ability. Unfortunately, he manages to get himself tangled in it, and lands hard. The Catfall allows him to land on his feat, but doesn't prevent all the damage.

[sblock=Falling Damage]The basic rule is simple: 1d6 points of damage per 10 feet fallen, to a maximum of 20d6.

If a character deliberately jumps instead of merely slipping or falling, the damage is the same but the first 1d6 is nonlethal damage. A DC 15 Jump check or DC 15 Tumble check allows the character to avoid any damage from the first 10 feet fallen and converts any damage from the second 10 feet to nonlethal damage. Thus, a character who slips from a ledge 30 feet up takes 3d6 damage. If the same character deliberately jumped, he takes 1d6 points of nonlethal damage and 2d6 points of lethal damage. And if the character leaps down with a successful Jump or Tumble check, he takes only 1d6 points of nonlethal damage and 1d6 points of lethal damage from the plunge.

Falls onto yielding surfaces (soft ground, mud) also convert the first 1d6 of damage to nonlethal damage. This reduction is cumulative with reduced damage due to deliberate jumps and the Jump skill. [/sblock]

Fortunately, he's not seriously hurt. Falling damage, nonlethal falling damage (1d6=1, 1d6=1)
