Wal-mart and 3.5

Well, as I somewhat expected, I just received notification that my order has been "Delayed". As I expected this to happen, it is Wal-Mart we're talking about here, I had already made up my mind to order from Talon Comics if that happened. So I immediately cancelled the order from Wal-Mart and did so. Hopefully, he'll have enough of them in stock to fulfill my order next week when it releases.

I'm curious if anyone else out there has received any type of notification.

I got the same thing. Then again, my FLGS isn't supposed to have them until the 18th, so I'm going to sit tight.

I preordered from Talon a while ago, both to support him and because I expected this to happen. Derek's site currently says 7/11 for the release date.

I got the same thing. I followed the directions in the email and found out that it is still scheduled to ship next week.

Called Wal Mart, its WoTC's manufacturer that is having trouble fulfilling the order.

This is probably going to be happening to everyone. Not surprising considering the source.

My order from Wal-Mart has been delayed as well. And yes, I have local gaming stores, but they are all focused on other types of gaming (Warhammer and Magic) and d20 products are not as important, and there are usually delays getting new d20 products by weeks or months. (They still have not gotten Kenzer's "Hobgoblins" supplement yet)

Considering that this is Wal-Mart I would not purchase from them anyways. My order with Amazon says it is shipping on the 8th with no indicator of any change.

My ship dates haven't changed either. However, I still got the email telling me that my order had been delayed. We'll see what happens next week, although I'd bet my books will be here in August.

That's okay though. I don't have any free time until August anyway.
