Does anyone know or have made a prestige class that uses Wands (maybe both wands and rods) with powerful effect? Even including some of the feats from Complete Arcane. Besides the one in Sharn: City of Towers, I am looking for others

I developed a prestige class based around the Cleric 'Magic' Domain. Basically with increasing levels the cleric could apply metamagic feats to arcane wands, scrolls etc. , but also increase their DC and caster level for spell penetration purposes. I recently posted it on the House Rules board, so if you scroll down a few pages, you should find it. Sadly, I received no comments! :)

Other than that, I'm not aware of anything that lets you use spell competion or spell trigger items to greater effect, apart from the obvious staff being tied in with your own spellcasting ability.

Edit: It's called the Faith Wizard - will help in finding it!

An Incantatrix with the double wand feat can be really nasty...

Double Wand feat? There's such a thing? Please tell me it doesn't allow you to use two wands during any given combat round...

It's from the Complete Arcane. It's called Double Wand Wielder.

Ouch! Sure, it requires two extra feats (Craft Wand is fairly standard for a mage), but isn't this going back to 3e Haste with two spells per round? Given that metamagic feats can still be placed in wands without the level increase, you can have maximised 4th level spells and fire them twice per round. Heck, a third level human wizard could already qualify for this and be an absolute buffing/attacking machine. Is it just me or does seem too much?

With that feat, you can wield a wand in each hand with one wand designated as your primary wand and the other your secondary wand. Each use of the secondary wand expends 2 charges from it instead of 1.

Add Incantatrix abilities... and twinning ... and quickening.... you could have 4 spells launched at you.
