WANTED: BBEG tweakage, 5th level.

Malum

First Post
I have found by making all BBEG gestalt they tend to be more competitive. So my next BBEG is to be 5th level gestalt build with Monk & Sorcerer as the main and maybe a dip into fighter. All books but Eberron available. What I wanted was basic spell & feat selection. My thought is with Alter Self he will turn into Troglodite, with buff spells enter melee as a quick hitting unarmored style.

Thoughts?
Is this build concept viable?

Pre-Thanks

the problem is MAD - str, dex, wis, con, chr all necessary - and villians without int ....

you get a lot of defense: shield, MA, Alterself, monk bonuses -
but for offense - what chill touch & bull strength? perhaps a true strike - Power attack combo?
(max +4 damage) not terrific.
Cleric/monk gesalt would have a lot more offense - Divine favor, shield of faith, casting inflict spells and punching- cast inflict serious before fight and have 5 rounds to land a 3d8+5 + unarmed dmg. or casting all his buffs, then silence.

Another thought might be to use this guy to hit and run against the party. How about this:
monk 5 and sorcerer 5
Max out his hide and move silently to start with. Also max out concentration.

Spells:
0: Pick some useful ones
1: Mage Armor, Shield, Shocking Grasp, something else
2: Invisibility, plus something else
Pre-combat: Have mage armor and shield running. right before battle, cast shocking grasp on, hold the charge. Charge in and combine shocking grasp with an unarmed attack for lots of hurt (5d6 electricity plus monk unarmed attack - ouch). Cast invisibility and withdraw. Rinse and repeat a few time. Even allowing for shield and mage armor, this combo could be used 4 times. Odds are that the players will get wise after the 2nd hit and be ready.

Probably want combat casting at least. Lots of other good choices for the other feats, but to really make this work he needs to be able to reliably cast invisibility on the defensive.
Oh, the aesthetic mage from CA might help the ability issues - it would allow you to use CHA instead of WIS for the monk's AC bonus.

Generally, if you want the party to be afraid, just use a psion with energy missile or something. Gestalt is a bit overboard, assuming your party isn't itself gestalt. Still, it's your campaign. If you want to gestalt a psion BBEG, go for fighter to add durability.
