Ouch! It seems the "Marketplace" Forum is D-E-A-D, so I'm posting this here too after I had only 2 "views" from someone besides myself in the original post there.

Mods: PLEASE don't move this thread too quickly, I'd like some leads on this to complete my colection... ( insert begging emoticon here )

Which issues where those about. There is a game store here in town that seems to have a large collection of old Dragons for sale and seeing how I am planning on going to the store I could look for you. But the magazines are in a box and whats on the cover art would make my search easier.

OK! -- Just to be clear though : I did not "ignore the correct forum", I posted a similar thread to a different forum.

So now I have 2 threads posted here!

OK - Off to Meta I go to plead for allowing some flexibility for this type of thread to be allowed to stick around in General.

How different is my asking for some help in finding issues of a magazine than someone asking for reccomendations on what to buy at their next FLGS stop anyway?

Thats really nice of you Piratecat. ENWorld has some of the best mods of any messageboard I've ever been to.

275 is the second issue featuring 3rd edition material. It has "Warriors kick @ss!" on the cover and features a half-orc fighter picture. It also has the duelist prestige class in it.

277 is the Age of Steam issue with the picture of the cute elven chick wearing the victorian era clothing.

I wish you luck finding these. When third edition kicked off, interest in Dragon Magazine skyrocketed. Hoiwever, WoTC did not increase how many they published. While we hadtried to increase our orders for the mag (a couple months in advance) our distributors actually received fewer copies. I understand this was because there were suddenly more subscribers who got orders filled before retail sales, as it should be. So while demand increased, there were fewer copies available in stores. We blew through our supplies in a little over a month each. Further, few people want to part with those early issues that are so filled with juicy bits. And crunchy bits.

Both of these issues are rare. I've seen them on ebay for $$20-$30 and as high as $60 for 275.

I guess that would explain why I never saw them at either of my FLGS' -- I have always just bought "off the rack" and never missed an issue before...
