That's a good point. I just feel that the original WotW ending is anti-climatic since they try to attack the Martians with lots of military power; nothing worked. Then, suddenly the humans win.
Now if they have a scene where a clever person discover the weakness, that would work. But not like the, "I got it right on the first time" type.
