Just because something is 'normal' to you or you consider part of the 'human condition' doesn't mean it's modeled in D&D. I've never played a WoD game that included it, never played a Rifts game where it mattered, it's not mentioned in Nobilis, and it's not even mentioned in World Tree. D&D also has no facing rules (well, it's a variant), and that also seems like a part of the human condition. Feel free to make a variant or house rule that includes handedness in your game, though.
