Warforged and Slam Attacks

Why would it be the right hand, if there is no concept of handedness?
See the first sentence of the post you quoted. ;) I think Hyp has the gist of what I'm saying.

Handedness is a fact of the human condition. It has been modeled to one degree or another in just about every gaming system I've every played.
Just because something is 'normal' to you or you consider part of the 'human condition' doesn't mean it's modeled in D&D. I've never played a WoD game that included it, never played a Rifts game where it mattered, it's not mentioned in Nobilis, and it's not even mentioned in World Tree. Maybe I play different games from you.

D&D also has no facing rules (well, it's a variant), and that also seems like a part of the human condition. Feel free to make a variant or house rule that includes handedness in your game, though.

I'm really not sure where you are getting the idea that 3e doesn't have a rule to cover handedness, but instead has a "primary hand/off-hand" concept that does pretty much the same thing, but not quite.
Yeah, not quite... :p

Oh, I know what you're saying... I just think you need to really contort the 'usually the left' to make it fit your position :)

-Hyp.
And I think you're reading way too much into a three word parenthetical phrase, in such a way that unnecessarily weakens characters. :)

Looks to me like you are the one making the house rule. :)

Yeah, not quite... :p

In your point of view. In mine, it is the way the game mechanics model handedness. You don't get to switch primary hand on a whim.

This doesn't "weaken" characters. It makes them normal.

Oh, and WoD did indeed include handedness. The various Player's Guides introduce it along with the Ambidexterity merit.
