Warforged Barbarian

You are a fiendish idea generator, Mike! I like them all. It's interesting to think of a flesh half-golem being created by a warforged grafting fleshy parts, instead of the other way around.

Suddenly I'm seeing a warforged who had his memory wiped by the Mourning and was raised by a living major image -- sort of a Truman Show thing. "What do you mean, mom and dad are illusions?"

Also, the reavers from Firefly inspired me to cobble together some notes on malfunctioning, psychopathic warforged barbarian tribes that want to become human by wearing humanoid skin, bone talismans, and other nasty little accessories.

This is oh so very stolen. I don't know how many there will be, but I can hear PC's squirming now. Especially any warforged PC's.

I see your point hope you see mine

Keith,

I see your point but I would be more willing to see them with just berserker tyoe shock troops them full on barbarians right out of the forge.

But again it is magic maybe it is the barbarian essence caught and put in to warforged there by giving them these ablilities to mimic humans because they are trying to recapture their humanity though adventure and experiances that are familair to them.

So if they were anti social and desturctive to their fellow being they would look at being warforged has the next incanation.

Would it now be possible to be reincarnated warforged?

Goo thread like the thought it is giving me.

One of the guys in my D&D group (who LOVES playing barbarians) got realy excited when I told him about Eberron. He seemed somewhat disapointed when I told him that I'd not run an Eberron campaing, telling me about his "Robo-Barbaraian" to which i said, thats why I'm not an Eberron fan.

Correct-a-mundo.
nope.

Warforged Wizards still need to rest 8 hours to "recharge," so I am sure that you can design any sort of fluff to explain why warforged have to do the things that other PC do for their classes.

Glad people like the ideas. I've been thinking long and hard about the warforged - I *wish* I could come up with that many ideas off the cuff! I did a construct race for The Book of Iron Might, a book I wrote for Malhavoc, so construct PCs have been on my mind quite a bit, enough that I'll probably do a web enhancement for BOIM that focuses on them. Based on the current state of BOIM, the material should be completely compatible with the warforged. Ain't the d20 system great?

Keith - consider the idea about the illusory parents stolen. That'd be a real nasty, underhanded way to brainwash warforged. Now who would be diabolical enough to do something like that?
