Warlock Implement Mastery

Warlocks get implements just like Wizards, and with all the debating over the raw damage advantage of the Ranger vs the Warlock, I thought a perfect way to add a slight buff to the Warlock would be to give him a form of Implement Mastery as well. What do you think of these ideas?

Warlock Arcane Implement Mastery – Like Wizards, Warlocks may choose 1 Implement to master. They may choose from the following options:

• Wand of Blasting: Once per encounter as a free action, you may choose to reroll the damage from one of your attack powers while using the wand. You must take the second result, even if it is lower than your first roll.

• Rod of Sustaining: Once per encounter as a free action, when using a power than can be sustained and holding the rod, you may select one of the following options:
o If the Sustain requires an additional attack roll, you may discard 1 failed attack and reroll it. You must keep the 2nd result.
o If the Sustain requires a saving throw, you may force the target to reroll a successful save, keeping the 2nd roll instead.

• Pact Dagger: Once per encounter as a free action, you may add the damage of the dagger (1d4+ Str or Dex bonus + any bonus for a magic weapon) against a single target of an attack power. The additional damage from the dagger is gained as temporary hit points by the Warlock.
