Warlock Invocations - Sources? Numbers?

First Post
It has been about a couple years since the Warlock entered the show. The question that comes to mind is, just how much aid has the class been given?

I know there is an official draconic version - the Dragon Fire Adept from Dragon Magic, if I recall correctly, but that is another class entirely. In regards to the Warlock, how many invocations has it received from other books since Complete Arcane was released? Has the number of invocations even come close to equaling the number found in CA (10 Eldritch Essence, 5 Blast Shape, and 35 other invocations)? I know that CM has 2 Eldritch Essence, 1 Blast Shape, and 19 other invocations, but what other (WotC) sources for invocations are there? I looked into Libris Mortis and Frostburn but found nothing.

What about the Dragon Fire Adept? I have not seen it, so I wonder - are its invocations something that could be granted to the Warlock? That is to say, are their invocations - or whatever they are called for that class - arranged in four rankings, each rank gained at about the same level as with the warlock - suggesting a similar level of power build up at similar level, and so forth?

I don't expect much, but I am hopeful that a few invocations exist here and there that - collectively - have at least doubled the number of invocations found in Complete Arcane.

Also, I seem to recall that there were a couple threads a while back with Celestial and Aberration / Alien variants of the Warlock - differing named, flavored, or even mechanics invocations to match. Are these typically thought to be balanced (in which case their invocations could be added to the core list of collective invocations for the Warlock)? Are other variants existent here or elsewhere (fey, perhaps, or maybe undead, etc)?

The Dragon Fire Adept Invocations are: Least, Lesser, Dark, Greater. Almost all are fine for a Warlock, only some flavor here and there might stop you.

Not PHB 2. Do you mean Complete Mage? Because that has some nifty prestige classes too, as well as some magic googles that increase the range of ranged touch attacks.

In addition to the draconic invocations for the dragonfire adepts (which may for warlocks as house rules, but aren't designed for them under the RAW), Dragon Magic includes some new warlock invocations. Specifically:

Deteriorating Blast (lesser eldritch essence)
Dragonward (greater)
Dread Seizure (lesser)
Eldritch Glaive (least blast shape)
Eldritch Line (greater blast shape)
Ignore the Pyre (lesser)
Impenetrable Barrier (dark)
Penetrating Blast (greater eldritch essence)
Weighty Utterance (lesser)

These are all designed to help warlocks cope in a dragon-heavy world, but are for the most part useful in any campaign. Even dragonward can be useful against non-dragons, though I think it's the invocation most likely to be taken only in dragon-heavy campaigns.

Yes, I did mean CM, not PHB2.

So, aside from Complete Mage, Dragon Magic, Fiendish Codex 2, and bit pieces in Magic of Incarnum, was anything else released to support the Warlock?

I've checked Frostburn, Sandstorm, Libris Mortis, PHB2, and a few others, but I did not find anything for the Warlock. :\ I suppose I do not expect any of the adventures or location books to have anything, but I would hope that more than a few books would have support for the Warlock.

only the CA, DM, CM, and FC2 has invocations for the warloc class. Thow when combined with feats from other books like book of vile darkness and savage species you can make a worloc meny diffrent ways. release on this class has been a bit slow but exploring the stuff we have at this point has been fun.

useing blasts and invocations from distance would make a great caster addon to a party

useing the Chr skills and inv. like crawling eye and disembodied hand would be a good rogue addon to a party

useing Retributive invisibility and Eldritch Glaive with good armor would make a great fighter type to add to a party

the warloc hasnt had much given to his class as of yet but what he has can be fun and powerfull is used right

just a thought lvl 20 warloc with no gear useing Udderdark Glaive and Retributive Invisibility would get 3 flatfooted touch attacks that did 9d6 damage pluse -2 lvls each
