Warlock needs guidance!

You apply your DEX bonus to your attack roll, and you get no bonus to damage save for the possible +1 due to Point Blank Shot.

Sorry for my stupidity but i still do not understand...
PLz explain more... (the base attack bonus wtf is it??)
And to be more clear (!) with my lock lvl 3 and dex14 and BAB +2 what numbers are paplied to my eldrich blast?

Do you have a copy of the Player's Handbook? (I ask because not every player does - which is a shame when it comes to rules questions).

Pg 134 has the rules for attack bonuses.

Herobizkit laid out the specific math for you.

Guys thanx for help.
But i am more confused right now :D
I try to make my warlock to be a blaster and somewhat a skill monkey :)
My skills are concentration UMD intimidate and bluff.
Because i am human and flaws (UA) are allowed i will have 4 feats at lvl1. So I insist on taking Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Weapon Focus (Eldritch Blast) and somthing more (what is the problem). When i become lvl 3 what feat should i take? Your aswers had too much info for my little warlock! I am low lvl!!!
Thanks guys!

You are ineligible to take the weapon focus feat with your 1st level feats due to not meeting the prerequisite of having a +1 BAB. If you really, realy want it then you must use your 3rd level feat to take it.

In the very long term, Improved Precise Shot is a fun feat because you can ignore partial cover and partial concealment and fire into a grapple without hitting your friends or putting yourself into the meelee fray. For that reason, I won't say that Precise Shot is a wasted feat.

Speaking of grapples, it might be useful to get the feat Sudden Still (or a ring of freedom of action) because it can suck if you are grappled (your invocations all require a somatic component and so in a grapple you are effectively an NPC expert). If you ask your DM, maybe he will houserule in a Still Spell-like Ability feat (it doesn't exist because except for warlock invocaitons, all spell-like abilities lack somatic components anyhow). I think there is a feat in Races of Stone that lets you take 10 on concentration checks.

Also in the long term, the invocation Vitriolic Blast is your friend. It bypasses SR, so unless the critter has acid immunity it is a great "go to" essence. Extra damage doesn't hurt either. Or, you can go the Spell Penetration/Improved Spell Penetration/"that feat that lets you take 10 on caster level checks" route to catch the immune to acid types, but that is 3 feats! Other invocations I like on the shape side include Eldritch Spear and Eldritch Chain. I also love Flee the Scene.

And yes, Extra Invocation is a great feat too.

Crafting feats are good too. You can make a Warlock's Chasuble fairly early and get some extra damage if you feel lacking.

The Warlock may not be the most powerful character class, but it is one of the most fun to play.
