D&D 5E Warlock - No Bestorw Curse

Yea, my thoughts are about how one could balance the use of bestow curse if the player can recharge on a short rest. Also, since the spell is automatically upcast, by the time a warlock gets 5th level spell slots the spell would last 8 hours without concentration.

Shouldn’t this concern apply to every spell and not just to bestow curse?

I think they missed a few opportunities to model a cursing witch type. Still my favorite class but yeah, all curses should have made the cut as far as I am concerned.

Some spells are more problematic than others with the Pact spellcasting feature. Not saying I necessarily agree, but that's the only thing I could think about as far as reasoning.

I personally have no issue with bestow curse every short rest...it’s not like it’s tbe strongest 3rd level spell or anything.

Bestow curse is hardly that strong of a spell (I personally feel it is rather weak for a third level spell), I think they were being overly cautious; or they needed a flavorful Invocation.

Against low wisdom warriors, it's very strong. I remember some hags pretty much took my barbarian out of the fight completely with bestow curse.
