Warlock/Rogue

First Post
I am looking for a prestige class that combines the two. If there isn't one what suggestions do you have for a level 5 looking at higher levels? I am thinking halfing and darkness/devil's sight for 1st two invocations. Stats are
18,16,16, 16,14,11
Thanks for any help.

What are you trying to accomplish by combining the two?

It would help to know what the theme of teh character is.

They don't really mesh all that well, the warlock's eldritch blast isn't very good for delivering sneak attacks (that 30 ft ranged attack limit on sneak attacks comes into play and if using the invocation to deliver the EB as a melee weapon it takes a standard action to use an invocation - so only 1 attack, unless you go with Eldritch Glaive, but that is a higher level invocation).

A beguiler/rogue is a better mix, IMO.

I was going for the rogue as the main build, with a little bit of the warlock thrown in for an at will ranged touch attack. I didn't plan on going into warlock more than 4 levels, but then I have an issue with SR at later levels. So it would only be useful about half the time. Just another way to stay away from combat and death, hopefully.

Warlocks don't really get that many skill points either.

I suppose a beguiler/warlock/eldritch disciple (arcane caster+warlock version of the mystic theurge - complete mage) might work, though if it is caster support you desire, a beguiler or perhaps a rogue1/wiz4-5/unseen seer build might work better.

If so, I suggest you to multi-class into either Sorcerer or Warmage instead.

Even with only 1 level of these arcane class, you can use 1st-level Lessor Orb spells 4+ times per day, instead of Eldritch Blast. It bypass SR. You can also use some cantrip ranged touch attack spells such as Acid Splash and Ray of Frost.

Then you can go Rogue/(Sorcerer or Warmage)/Arcane Trickster route or just take few levels of Sorcerer or Warmage and then rely on Ring of Wizardry I to double your number of 1st level spell slots.

Either way, Practiced Spellcaster feat will help you bump up damages of ranged touch spells. Unfortunately, this feat does not work for a Warlock.

True but the fey/fiendish hertige feat
Increases your caster level and save DCs for (enchantment/against good creatures) and warlock invocations by 1.

Note no limit on hit dice - so a first level warlock with this feat has a CL of 2 for these purposes. Unfortuneatley most invoactions' damage or duration doesn't depend on caster level but it does help for SR and saving throws.

Rogue 3/Warlock X is pretty strong, as you get +2d6 sneak attack and evasion. But after a few levels, you will have to decide whether you want to focus on blasting or sneak attack. There is a class that combines ray expertise with sneak attack, I don't remember if it works right out of the gate with Warlock. If not, you could look at modifying it. But it's probably not going to be all that hot.

Was it Spellwarp Sniper from C.Scoundrel? Just a guess, don't have the book around right now.
