Warlock - Shadow Walk

I interpreted it as a stealth teleport. The warlock uses a power (must be during their turn) that both grants concealment and lets them move 3 squares.

It just makes sense to me that a striker has an ability to evade an attacker and reposition themselves for another strike next turn.

The Shadow Walk Class Feature gives the character concealment whenever they move at least 3 squares from where they began their move action.

Concealment granted the warlock a +2 to AC until the end of his next turn.

He's basically got it, though I think that concealment grants a +2 to all defenses, not just to AC.

And I think it does have to be 3 squares away from a target to get concealment. Moving forward or sideways didn't cut it in either of my DDXP games. Also, both DMs allowed teleportation powers to count also, so it's not just movement from a move action.

I agree that move AWAY (similar to a push) means AWAY from the target, not towards, or sideways to. It's kinda hard to dissapear when you march towards a guy.

The movement is not granted by the power and must be taken as a move action.

Concealment gives +2 to all defences.

I suspect eladrin will be apoular class with warlock with its teleport racial feat tree complementing the warlocks own teleportation abilities.

So rangers are mobile because they dart about, warlocks are mobile because they pop in and out of existance.

I think the "Shadow Walk" thing is specifically for the fey pact, which would likely be the preferred pact for eladrin warlocks fluff-wise, so it makes sense to me.

Maybe the infernal pact will seem more tiefling-ish... although honestly the tiefling racials seem less flavorful to me than the eladrin ones.

The warlock in my playtest certainly used this to his advantage. Though not knowing better, we played it as "Concealment 5" ... +2 to AC /defenses makes concealment work pretty much like cover, which is confusing.
