Could be divine. I think it's more likely that he draws from a different power source: Pacts. I guess Pacts as a power source will come, with the warlock, binder and something else.

Oh, good call. That makes a lot of sense, but I wonder if (as you've guessed) the warlock won't see publication for another year and a half at the minimum, why would they be leaking art for it?

It makes sense the concepting of all the classes would be done now, so maybe it was just too good of a drawing not to release?

In today's Playtest article on D&D Insider, the author speaks of his Warlock character, who apparently inflicts extra damage when he attacks wounded opponents. Sure sounds like the arcane equivalent of a striker to me!

Plus, Warlock would make a sensible favored class for Tieflings.
