Warlock's Curse reads, in part:

Once per turn as a minor action, you can place a Warlock's Curse on the enemy nearest to you that you can see....You can deal this extra damage once per round.

<snip>

You can place a Warlock's Curse on multiple targets over the course of an encounter; each course requires the use of a minor action.

Which makes me wonder:

  1. Can you only put the Curse on the enemy nearest you- meaning you have to move around the battlefield to close on various intended targets- or does it mean you can put it on the enemy nearest you who has not already been Cursed?
  2. If you have multiple foes under your Curse and you use an attack that successfully attacks more than one of them at the same time, do you only do Curse damage to one or are they all affected by Curse damage? IOW, should "once per round" be read to have an implied "per Cursed foe" clause with it?

1) You have to move around the battlefield.
2) You only get to apply the damage to one creature

You can move around, you can use splash cursing - I can't remember if it's a wand or a feat, or what - but there's a possibility to curse your target + adjacent enemies. But if you stay in one spot and so do enemies - the cursed ones don't work as proxies ;P

As to second point - you deal this curse damage once per round. If you attack multiple cursed targets, you apply this extra damage to one of them, and you have to choose which after rolling damage. IE: You hit 3 guys, Steelclaw, Bloodjaw, and Ted. You roll a natural 20 on Steelclaw, and kill him. You roll decent on Bloodjaw and you roll well on damage. You know Ted is already bloodied, so you keep curse damage for him. But you miss, and thus - it seems you've wasted your curse damage this round. Ted being a total baller, decides to charge at you, and gets into your threatened area. You swing your puny wand... and hit him. You deal 1d4 damage + get to use your 1 per round curse damage.

[edit: twofold curse feat let's you curse 2 nearest enemies; Rod of Corruption: whenever your pact boon is triggered, instead of taking its normal benefit you can transfer your warlock’s curse to each enemy within 5 squares of the original target.]

Remember that yes, you need to move around to curse multiple foes (tho it's not as hard as you think, an enemy that's five squares north and five squares west is equidistant as one that is just five squares north)

HOWEVER

You need to move 3 squares per turn anyways to keep your concealment up.

Warlocks should be moving. And cursing multiple foes is worth it because your pact boon triggers regardless of who does the killing blow.

Another funny detail is that it doesn't matter if you or another warlock cursed the victim.
If you hit a cursed enemy with an attack, you deal extra damage.
If the victim is cursed you can apply curse damage. So it's extra sweet for parties with multiple warlocks.

No, not quite. You can't take things that much out of context. The context of the rules quote is YOUR curse, not any curse. Heck, you might as well not even require the Warlock's curse. Why not simply allow, "I curse every enemy in the world." Hey, suddenly I can consider everyone cursed.

31. If an enemy is already cursed by another warlock does my warlock get his extra damage against that enemy?
The warlock curse class feature does not require that you be the one that cursed the target only that the target be cursed.
Obviously you can apply your curse damage to a target cursed by another warlock. But you can only reap what you've sowed.

Though there is a feat called "Accursed Coordination" that gives a benefit (combat advantage) if two Warlocks have cursed the same opponent.
