It's interesting that the IP for the originating server is assigned to Global Net Access in Atlanta Georgia. Isn't White wolf located in or near Atlanta? I wonder what the odds are that the perp is a former employee of White Wolf that is trying to 'get even' or something equally childish?

Incidentally, I've since heard that some people are receving a second wave of emails from the hackers. When I last checked my old email account I hadn't received any such mails. Does anybody know if the new mailings are the same thing or different?

Just the 'contact' info. Hopefully the waves of emails can be traced somehow, and these people brought to ruin.

Did a whois on dnsvs.net and learned it's unregistered. It does lead to a web page, but that is unoccupied. Consider it a spoof, and that the server hosting said page has been hacked.

Scharniertheater on the other hand is legitimate. It's a theater in Germany with information in both English and Deustch. And the site uses rather well done Flash animation. Another case where a site got hacked by this guy. BTW, when I viewed the "form" I got a blank page.

Let's hope he's kept moving. It's easier to spot a moving target. :)

Update: 63.247.85.58 leads to a cPanel page informing the visitor that there is no site there. OTOH dnsvs.net leads to a different "no site here" page. Looks like our subject has committed numerous acts of hacking. That's gonna pile up prison time. :D

See my post in the other thread. I ran a trace on the email. It did, in fact, originate from my POP server. Also, note that (as I mention in the other thread) my Paypal account seems to have been compromised. :(

I had the same thing happen to me from those hackers. I contacted my ISP, and they checked it to be sure, because the e-mail appeared to come from me, but they found that it was a Yahoo address and the people who'd sent it just made it look like it came from me.

I'm not sure your e-mail's been compromised.

Change your password if you're concerned, and you should be set.

HeHe.. I've already addressed this, but thanks :)

I also had the forethought to check message headers and check with tech support at the email provider in order to verify that the email originated from my account (which , again, it did).
