Water Problems [DM: Voda Vosa; Judge: Kalidrev!]

"About time you made it back here!," Myoko shouted with relief as she caught sight of the others. "We saved some bugs for you!" Even as she called out, though, she stepped back away from the swarm to catch her breath from the brutal fight.

OOC: Shift back to Y7, Use Second Wind (spend a surge, get back 6 HP and +2 defenses for the turn)

Myoko retreats behind the fighter to catch her breath, just a moment before Torqua breaches in singing an odd sounding song that seems to revitalize Frost.
The shifter stabs the tiny bugs, and is inneficient as Vardaal, who stomps in wielding his sword wildly, killing more bugs with his boots than with his falichon.
The centipedes are unable to conect with the shifter this time, as Frost keeps taking them off as they crawl over him.
Kavac follows Vardaal and with a massive hammer slam, disperse the few remaining centipedes.

OOC: Fight's over! Vardaal and Frost add 3 more dmg

"See, I told you I should have brought a hammer" Frost says, looking to Myoko and pointing to Kavac's weapon. "Where were you guys? What happened? We thought you were dead. Should we take a few minutes to catch out breath and get caught up?" the shifter says.

"Sounds good to me Frost." Torqua argees, sitting her huge behind down and pulling out a trail ration to eat. "Anyway just for an update, no we're aren't dead, we just sort of fell down a pit and had to fight another Ankheg and a gang of his giant maggot buddies. To keep it short, we squashed them and found our way back up here."

"I don't suppose you saw anything that looks like a way out of here," Myoko said as she made her way over to the water and began to wash the bug gunk off her armor. "The way behind us is blocked..."

OOC: Short rest sounds good- spend another surge for 6 HP more

 

[Farce]

Vardaal clasps Kavac on the shoulder "Ha it good you and me come here. We save our friends today. We be great warriors!" the bugbear celebrates, taking a drink from the waterskin as they rest.

"Uhhh, Vardaal not remember any other ways. I look now" Vardaal declares as he searches for another pass, but there's sand in his eyes and the barbarian instead works to rub it out, only causing more irritation "Ahhh... this is no fun. Worst Dessert land ever. Mr Fanciest Hat owes Vardaal lots" Vardaal complains, apparently still not understanding desert vs dessert.

"Now, this is a problem." Torqua pounders, finishing her rations. "Maybe if we just follow a pathway, we get to where we need to go."

"Speaking of owning, what do you think Losador will pay us once we've done this mission? I mean we are risking life and limb here to save his city, so no doubt the reward will be great. Gold for starters, that's a no-brainer, but what else? I say gems, gems bigger than your head and of every colour. And fine silks, and a collection of rare wines, and maybe royal titles, and land to go with it, and servants! My own personal corps of chefs!" Torqua begins to trail off on her dreams of riches.

"Hmmm, that does sound good. Well let's first see if we can find the water, anyone see any passages? Maybe if someone can hold their breath we could swim through this water way here" Frost suggests, moving to the water's edge to see if it's the start of an underground river, or just a puddle.

"Let's double-check the dry land options before we try looking in the water," Myoko said. "We can start where we came in- it is just back this way a bit. Then we work our way over to where you all ended up, and we look for any other signs between the two... Sound good?"

OOC: This seems like the easiest way to start- we just go from the end where Frost and Myoko came in to where the others arrived, looking for any passages along the way. Back in original marching order: Frost, Vardaal, Torqua, Myoko, Kavac.
