The Waterdeep supplement is supposed to come out next month. Does anyone have any advance word on it? Preview information? Secrets to spill? Specific date of release (as compared to sometime in the 30 days of June)? Khelben’s mailing address?

Sooner or later Richard Baker or Eric L. Boyd will post the TOC over on the FR boards. Other than that, whats been written about it so far is all that's known.

I'm more interested in whether or not it will be offered as a PDF at the time of release. I don't want to have to wait a month before the retailers in the area decide to order it.

I don't live at the edge of the world, but you can see it from here.....

Really? I, too, live about 3 kilometers away from it - beyond the edge, that his. The secret is to find a good online store, they send it to you.

Eric has posted at the Candlekeep boards that the product is a mixture of updated 1E and 2E material (but not simply re-hashed and repeated stuff) as well as new 3E stuff. There is a look at religion in the city and how it affects the citizens, information on such hitherto unexplored places as the Dungeon of the Crypt, some updates for Undermountain (but no real in-depth look at the place - the word count squeeze was bad enough!), the Shadow Thieves have returned to the city and lots more goodies. Eric writes Realms like almost no other so I don't think too many fans of the setting will be disappointed and even non-fans looking to cherry pick will find useful generic 'city stuff'.

You know I really have been "disappointed" with a 3.xe Realms product only once, and that was Lords of Ruin. I have yet to read the NPC section, though. But the first impression was not too good. Not really bad, either, but I've been used to better first impressions with FR stuff

That's the problem......Finding a GOOD online store......I've heard horror stories of people ordering things off online stores and not getting their product any sooner than if I WAIT until they've delivered a copy here to western Kansas (after the first two or three deliveries get burned by the raiding indian parties).....

Any recommendations???
