Well it's so dry the firefighters start watering the small park trees.
Power plants are getting problems due to extremly high energy consumption (Yes we have AC in some buildings. At least in institutions like hospitals and scientific institutes running all day).
The rivers are running dry (except the rhine).
The ozone values are getting very high that even the eyes start burning. Many old people pass out. Babies and old people are heaving dehydration problems.
The good news are that the wine will be of superior quality this year. With a little rain the quantity will be high, too.
So watch out for german white wine or red wine in your store next year

I live in a flat under the roof and sweat like hell.
I was at an open air cinema at a medieval castle last night (showing LotR part I and part II for free). Open air cinema isn't something we are used to here in Muenster.
We've got a proverb here: "In Muenster it is raining or the church bells are ringing.". Not this year ! Really not this year !
OK, I wait 'till Wednesday. The temperatures are to raise 'till then and drop to a normal value thereafter. I hope the meteorologists are right with that.
