[WAY - OT] Setting up a Home Gym

A couple of low cost ideas--especially if you're going to do most of your workout indoors during the winter...

A good sized mirror: regardless of what you end up doing, it helps motivate you AND it helps ensure good form.

Deep Knee Bends: the Soviet sports doctors used to swear by these things--supposedly a better cardio than running for a comparable time, plus it's low impact. Just remember not to let your knees go out over your toes! (use that mirror ;) )

Blocks: Use'em for push-ups so you can get a good full range of motion.

Pull-Up Bar: Cheap, and a great exercise.

Dip Bar: A little more pricey, but great to have.

Roman Chair: Not a must have, but it makes doing crunches a lot more comfortable--which means you're more likely to do them.

Exercise Mat: For stretching, sit-ups, etc...

Jump Rope: Cheap--plus it's good for cardio and coordination.

Heavy Bag: Great for cardio, and it lets you work your frustrations out too.

A boombox and some good tunes to motivate you!

BTW, taking up some kind of martial art that you can practice in your workout room might also be beneficial--as well as fun.
