Ways to deal with a power attacking enlarged warforged. *help*

I am currently running the group through the age of worms. I use a standard point buy and have not been Santa claus with the treasure. That said I am having some minor troubles with the Warforged fighter in the group. He is a power attacking and cleaving monster (with a greatsword). And when the cleric casts enlarge on him it gets even nastier. I'm not saying I want drug out battles, but something that lasts a little longer than 2 rounds.

So... I'm trying to come up with ways that make it a challenge still. I've been thinking of ray of enfeeblement (however everytime I've used this I've missed the range touch :\ ), slow, dispell magic (for the enlarge).

Any other real creative ways to make it challenging?

Enlarge person? Aren't warforged Construct type?

EDIT: For clarity, enlarge person only works on Humanoids.

EDIT2: Also, remember that a cleric with the Strength domain can only prepare enlarge person in the extra domain slot, not in his normal distribution of spells. He can get scrolls of it, wands of it, etc, but he can only prepare 1/day.

That seems to be your problem right there. Enlarge Person works on humanoids. Warforged are constructs.

Edit - Curses! Beaten to the punch!

Yeah, I would also think that they are not a legal target for Enlarge Person (only humanoids are).

And missing Ray of Enfeeblement? How much of a touch AC can he have? :)

How to deal with Power Attack? High AC. Send some will-o'-wisps against them. Nasty little critters they are.

Age of worrms is usally heraled as pretty darn tough... odd.

He ain't the only warforged out there. And they won't be ignoring the back row either. Cleave through the wizard into the real target!

Orc barbarians? Show him that EXTREME damage swings both ways!

Whoops ya beat me to it.

Also, I'd watch out for doing too much stuff to neutralize the warforged player. I play a fighter/barbarian and I find it frustrating when I'm rendered ineffective (although I understand that it will happen time to time so I try to keep it in perspective.). Perhaps throw them a large creature with damage resistance and decent AC (another construct perhaps?). That way the fighter can still do stuff but won't end your encounter in 2 rounds.

Good luck.

... though I imagine that the buffing character will probably switch to Bull's Strength as soon as he's not worried about wasting 2nd-level spells, if only because the math's a lot easier.
