Ive got a question regarding weapon enchantments

Imagine I have a
+2 Defending Flaming DAGGER
and i want to turn it into a
+5 Defending Flaming DAGGER


- WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO MODIFY IT?
pay for the whole weapon from the scratch?
pay a +3 to turn it into a +5?
pay a +5 to turn it into a +5?


and...
- What happens to the Defending Flaming Enchantments?

You pay the cost of the difference.

That is, a +2 Defending Flaming Dagger is a +4 Equivalent weapon.

A +5 Defending Flaming Dagger is a +7 equivalent weapon.

To turn the one into the other, you pay the cost of the difference between the two - 98,302 - 32,302 = 66,000 go

I was just about to ask a very similar question.

I want to enchant the Guisarme of Long Falls (AoE p109) with the Ki Focus ability (+1 bonus).

What does it cost? 20,309?
Is it still +2 or does it increase to +3?


Let me try to make an item and tell me how far off I am.

Masterwork Guisarme base price is 609 (309 + 300)
Ki focus adds 2,000
+3 enhancement adds 18,000
Total for Guisarme of Ki Focus +3, 20,609?

Is Ki-focus +1 or a flat gp price? Your post is a little unclear.

I am not familiar with the halberd, but if it is already the equivalent of a +3 weapon, then ki focus will bump it up to +4, which costs 32000gp. So you need to pay an additional (32000-18000) or 14000gp.

I have a +2

How much is the market price of the +3 and how much extra do I pay to have a +2 enchanted to a +3

You cannot create a periapt of wisdom +3. The bonus has to be an even number. To improve a periapt of wisdom +2 to a periapt of wisdom +4 will cost 16.000gp - 4.000gp = 12.000gp.

I.e. you always pay for the difference in cost.
