Weapon Finesse (Unarmed Strike)

I've noticed several DMs that allow Weapon Finesse: Scimitar. Since that issue has never come up in my games, I've never given it any thought.

I'm inclined to think Scimitars are finessable.

Balance-wise, there's really no reason to not allow scimitars to be finessable - they are equivalent to the rapier except for the type of damage they do. The only difference I can think of is that you can make a scimitar vorpal.

Salvatore thinks about scimitars. The D&D scimitar is a sabre. That's a huge difference in real life, but well... it's just a game, boy.
