Weapons Locker, d20 Future, then what?

Well, after d20 Future, what I'd like is a Big Book O'Talents. That probably won't work as a full hardback book, though, so they'll probably throw in a bunch of advanced and prestige classes as well to pad it out to a whole Big Book O'Classes.

I'd also like to see a book somewhat like Arms & Equipment Guide, with a huge variety of new items for use in adventuring.

I'd like to see something that deals with adjusting the modern game (and thus, the D20 system) to different timelines, similar to D20 Future. It could deal with all of this in pretty general terms, but allow you to slide your game up and down the timeline however you like. It'd have example equipment for major eras apropriate for modern games (World War II, The "Gangster" era in the '20s and '30's, World War I, the Spanish-American War, etc. all the way back to about 1700 CE). Before that, and you can run most games just as well with standard D20 than you can with D20 modern.

If D20 Modern really is the closest thing to a "unviersal" D20 we'll see for a long while (and I think it DOES do this very well) then let's get a sourcebook that helps the GM take advantage of this. You could call it D20 Past, I suppose...I don't want a replacement for D&D, just something that can help me run a modern game sometime before the present.

Anybody besides me want to see this?

exactly true. which is why i don't consider Star Trek to be science fiction, either. ;)
There was a time when the franchise in the 1960's consulted with NASA and the science community on theories and development relating to space exploration and technology.

But recently, they have what they called a science consultant for contemporary Trek series, but he is just a wannabe and later contributing Star Trek writer.

Of course, a lot of things we have seen in the shows are not far off with today's technology, like the TOS "wafer" that stores data ... it could be the mini-floppy disk and/or the large-capacity Zip Disk. The TOS communicator, which would have been considered a high-tech walkie-talkie ... could be the Nextel speaker cellphone. The database terminal you see on Picard's desk in his ready office ... could be the wi-fi laptops. PADDS ... PDAs (sans sensor equipment).

And I recalled in an old science news, they made some kind of a breakthrough in moving tiny atoms at "warp speed"?

:raises hand:

Pick up Call of Cthulu d20. It has tips on running campaigns from the gaslight era to modern day, and though it has a Cthulu focus, you can really read it as a Shadow Chasers campaign and get the same d20 Modern feel. Most of the stuff in the book is either compatible or easily converted, and includes some older firearms than found in d20M or the Ultramodern Firearms book.

A steampunk setting would be kinda neat.

I'd really love to see a d20M update of the FX book from Alternity. I doubt that would happen, but it would be really cool.

A good pulp book would be cool as well. Maybe we can get Hyrum over at OWC to make a Forbidden Kingdoms supplement for d20M.

You know, the d20 Past idea (ugh, hate that name, but we'll use it for now) is something I've given a lot of thought to. If it gets made, there's a lot of ways you can go with it. Do "campaign models" for it, like in d20 Modern/Future. One book that covers steampunk, classic medieval fantasy, swashbuckling Renaissance, pulp, etc. Could be fun.

Hm, may be time to start working up a pitch.

D20 Lang Syne? That would be cool, do you need another playtester? :)

Other things I'd like to see:

Dark•Matter D20 - The mini-game is a nice start, but it just scratches the surface. Ideally WotC would put out a core book and support could be licensed out to Malhavoc or the Game Mechanics.

F.R.E.E. Lancers D20 - Espionage meets low powered supers.

D20 Modern Asia - A companion volume to D20 Modern that covers the major themes in asian action, sci-fi, and contemporary fantasy film and literature.

I don't think you can fit that in one book. Better to start with a volume on one time period setting.
