I've always liked the idea of having a comprehensive website for my players. Although I'm not genius when it comes to website design, I can usually muddle my way through anything less complex than flash or java (in other words, I can't do them) and as a completely anal-retentive geek, I continue to tweak whatever website I work on until it's perfect.

I just started a PBP where I think having a website is even more important and not only for generic information, but also for interactivity, such as posting battlemaps, npc's, adventure logs and even updatable character sheets.

However, I just can't seem to get started on one. I have the gusto, just not the inspiration. So I figured I'd use this opportunity to plug into the collective might of this community in a way that would also provide help to others.

Essentially, I'd like to see posts from people who either run such websites, want to run such websites, have run such websites, go to such websites or who simply have an idea on how they could be made. Feel free to post your own site too so that we can all get a gander!

I promise I won't steal any ideas... well... not ALL of them, anyway :)

My own Ashara site is pretty basic, but conveys what I needed it to. As always, I need to add more content. And I'd like to change the design slightly, start using CSS, headers and footers to get a consistant style with less work, etc.

I set up a website and message boards for my games. At present, things are still pretty basic because I'm not that tech-savvy (although one or two players help on that end) and I rarely have the time I'd like to update.

Links in my sig.

Simple is good. I like simple. But for me, your site only consisted of a D&D logo, a neat picture of a mansion or something, and a title bar. Is it my browser or is this a work in progress?

Heh, I peruse the boards with sigs turned off. Aside from the fact that some people's sigs are... well... bordering on obnoxiously HUGE, I've a slow, old computer so the less I have to d/l the better. Any chance of posting it for us poor weiners who can't afford nifty new machines like this one:

Could you please post the URL? :)
