On the armor isssue, I have to say that I do see a problem with the D&D armor stats. As it is, the only armors I've ever seen anyone use past 2nd level are the following:
MW Studded Leather
+x Mithral Chain Shirt
+x Mithral Breastplate
+x Full Plate (often adamantine)
Chain mail? Scale armor? Leather? Half-Plate? I've never seen anyone willingly use them. Masterwork Studded Leather, Mithral Chain Shirts, Breastplates, and Fullplate are so far superior to all other armor, there's no reason to use anything else, unless you have some weird class restrictions (read druid).
