Weird Question About Changing Gender

No, you have to wait for the story hour update for that stuff.

The gender change has happened, but the rest is a ways off.

In fact, here's a link to the post where he once again becomes a she.

As to the background, the character in question started off as a female but was turned male by the touch of Chaos. He was changed back to a female by the artifact in question. The artifact in question- which is slowly but surely adding negative levels to her (she's at about 11) periodically has some weird effect on her and partially resets, but the 'base' keeps increasing and the effects are increasingly... altering her.

As to sexual identity, the only sex that I recall the character ever being involved in was the result of a magical compulsion from an ancient decadent orgy room in which he humped a male cleric. But the character's been roleplayed with a certain philosophical "past all that gender identity stuff" attitude since the first change. Now the character kind of views herself as becoming 'purified' through the influence of the artifact.

Ah, artifacts.

Too late. The subject of this post has inspired me to make twisted art in Photoshop.

When I saw that picture, I made a sound that only registers with dogs and whales.

Pyschologically it's a very different shift and can lead to issues in one's self, one sexual preferences, perhaps even lead down to more serious mental problems ... It's like waking up one day and find out the person you thought your were, didn't exist ...

I would respond with my wholehearted responce, but I've just woken up and I appear to have six arms, a brown chitinous exoskeleton an acid-dripping mandibles. Curse you, Franz!

I imagine the logistics for adventurers could be difficult, though, what with armor and such not fitting right anymore.
Unless it's magical armor, maybe.

If a male character had a magically-inflicted gender change, would they be considered a virgin?

Depends upon the nature of the transformation. The transformation might be akin to massive cosmetic surgery, in which case the result depends upon the template the magic used - if the template was virginal, so is the result. Or if it's a "change the genetics and regrow the body" deal, then the result is probably virginal. If the transformation had a psycho/spiritual component, the result may depend upon whether the character was virginal.

However, unless the magic alters memory, I fail to see how it is important. The character knows if they've ever slept with anyone, and the presence or absence of a small bit of tissue later on isn't about to give them psychological conniptions.

Also, if the new female form is virginal (and if I recall correctly), certain forms of activity will fix the "problem". One that jumps to mind is heavy-duty horseback riding. Again IIRC, sidesaddle riding was developed specifically to maintain the "virginal" state of ladies. But no combat-savvy adventurer is going to ride sidesaddle.
