The Elan, the weird psychic humanoids with unusual metabolisms (hence the Aberration type), self-sustaining innate psychic powers, and a few other tricks. They are fun. I don't think the PHB2 will be complete without them. Well, them and Kalashtar...

I am also fond of the Totemist. They can ignore Incarnum completely for all I care, but there needs to be a Totemist.

I'd settle for normal things, like frost giants and bronze dragons....

Some of my favorites as yet unmentioned are the Pennagolan (sp?), the shocker lizard (shocker lizard minions!), the mimic (it doesn't have to be a treasure chest, people), and the intellect devourer. And I'm in big love with templates, especially exotic ones like gelatinous, behemoth, and swarm-shifter.

Oh, and the ability to slap a vampire/vampire spawn on just about anything. Forest full of vampire squirrels, good times....

Also, the Cask Imp from Monsternomicon--not a core D&D monster, but responsible for one of the best sessions I've ever run.

I want things that are large . Beyond large. I want things that are gigantic. Enormous. Not just giants, but gigantic all sorts of things. Nothing for the party to find more awe inspiring then seeing a colossal walking higher then their airship-thingie. And nothing better to fight when you want to really let some of your characters shine.

The aurumvorax. Nothin says loving like 500 lb, eight-legged, pissed off weasel. That, and it was my first character's animal companion. Good memories.

My fighter had one as a pet, raised it from a kit, fed it gold coins znd that pissed his dwarf captain of the guard off. They have to make the cut even if it's only for FR.

Apart from that, I'd second a vote for the Wand of Wonder - because nothing scares a group of players more than seeing the resident nutter player pull that out of his backpack and start threatening people with it.
