Well-Written adventure hooks

Do you like well-written adventure hooks? How long do you like them to be? Do you like them to be particularly descriptive? I am asking all these because I am working on one right now, but I just got writers block on it and am stuck. It is sort of turning into a little story right now. I know what I want to say, but I just cant say it, because I can not think of the perfect words to use. Anyways, how do you like your adventure hooks?

Has a feeling someone will read the title of this thread with two extra letters added to the last word in the title.

I like adventure hooks. Are you writing setting specific hooks or general?
There are adventure hooks for Eberron in WotC's site and they are fine by me. I think that they could be little longer (twice the size). Maybe it's easier to tell likes/dislikes if you could post one hook.

For adventure hooks, I'm very proud of the format I devised in my "Rumors" PDFs. Just enough info for the DM and structured in a manner that they can be dropped into a campaign and used as flavor or the basis for an adventure.

The Rumours PDF was my favourite so far. More of the same (or similar) would be bought instantly, by me at least.

I have been considering more of these. Looks like I should consider harder. :)

I would pick them up as well.

So far there has been

A Dozen Distrubing Rumours
A Dozen Troubling Rumours
Atheneaum Arcane: Ghostly Rumours

(any others in the fantasy line; I know there are also a couple in the modern line)
