There are weapon variations in the group tables at the bottom. Without writing a whole new weapon there are some variations mentioned in the 'Cultures' section.
We also assign 2 damage types to some weapons. As you pointed out, the Euro longsword had a point and could be used to stab. We have a general long blade with some variations.
