Weretouched Master - post errata

Would it be overbalancing to change the 5th level benefits of the Weretouched Master class to the following?

Weretouched III - At 5th level, a weretouched master can manifest his basic trait (or traits if he possesses more than one) abilities at will. He does not gain any ability adjustments from his shifter traits when doing so. He does not gain any benefits from shifter feats that are only active when shifting (such as Shifter Ferocity). In addition, the character gains the ability bonuses as listed as standard ability adjustments instead of additional adjustments when shifting.

For example, a character with the Beasthide shifter trait would gain his +2 Natural armor at will, but could not benefit from the Beasthide Elite feat unless he uses his shifter ability. If he took the Tiger form of Weretouched Master, he would also gain a permanent +2 STR and +4 CON bonus. If he had the razorclaw trait from Extra Shifter Trait, then he could also gain his two claw attacks at will.

My reasoning for this is
1) the alternate form ability from the errata blows chunks
2) this would make the class more like their lycanthrope heritage by allowing them to manifest their natural abilities at will.

My main concern about this would be the swiftwing ability of being able to fly at will. Granted, it is only 20 ft per round, but he couldn't make any attacks with weapons or even cast spells with somatic components.

This replaces both the Weretouched III and Alternate Form ability.

It looks pretty good. It would certainly make the class playable again.

I'd have to crunch some numbers (which I currently lack the time and motivation to do) to know if it's actually balanced but it seems pretty good on the surface.

A bit bland, though.

Yeah, the ability is rather bland, but anything is better than the errata version. Of course, the original version definitely needed changed as a +12 or +16 STR (tiger or bear, respectively) was a little rediculous.

Of course, after looking at the Shapeshift ability in the PHBII, I may rethink my stance on the original abilities. I mean, at 8th level that ability grants a +8 STR and a bonus of +8 to Natural armor. At 12th, it is +12 STR and +12 NA

Hmm, from the lack of responses I guess it isn't overpowered.

On a related note, does anyone use the Weretouched Master with the current errata? The original version? Something different?
