WereTurtle! WereCroc! WereDungbeetle!

Over the years I've seen were-just-about-everything (hauls out back numbers of Alarums & Excursions...). Weresharks were very popular in one of my early games, due to having several Islanders playing in my games (as well as surf boards, rubberband harpoons, etc.). Then there were the wereweasels. Then a werecondor.

So yeah, there have been lots of weres in my worlds over the years. Currently? Neh, mainly big cats and bats, with a fair number of crocs. Then again, the setting is a rainforest, so that makes some difference.

PC, you wouldn't happen to have those stats handy, do you?

I just saw the template on WOTC and feelin' a bit lazy
about starting from scratch.

It depends. Are you playing 2e? :)

In other words, no. I used something similar to a VERY toned down Worm-That-Walks concept (Epic rules) in that he turned into a huge number of normal sized cockroaches when he wasn't human.

Thanks to everyone, especially The Forsaken One, very helpful.

Note: My thanks do not extend to Diaglo, that whole "werohwerehavetheygone", too bad for color TV. :)

diaglo left out some earlier-edition werenotmammals.

There was a wereraven in either one of the Ravenloft or one of the Greyhawk MCs.

Were those were-shark-wolf thingies (sea wolves, was it?) in (1e and 2e) warm-blooded, do you think?

Libris Mortis has a swarmshifter template that can be applied to any undead - you can be anything from rats to gnats to roaches. I personally don't see why it couldn't be for mortals, too.

it's a little creepy, but hey, it's that time of year...
