WOIN What affects incorporeal

Howdy. Had some questions regarding the above topics.

So, incorporeal. Unless I've missed it, it's not a condition or anything specifically spelled out. There are a few places things are mentioned about it however.

From page 274 - Spirit - Spirits are incorporeal, have the evil virtue, and are immune to physical weapons unless they do holy damage. They are also immune to any physical condition.

Page 299 - Cloaked Rider - Icorporeal. They are immune to physical attacks (except those which do holy or fire damage).

But then we have paged 191 - Evoke - Force. Force damage cannot affect inanimate objects (just as an aside, that's an odd quirk of force damage...) However it harms incorporeal or intangible creatures normally.

Page 183 - Create Force - Force objects exist both materially and ethereally, affecting incorporeal creatures.

So, what affects incorporeal? Holy seems pretty firm. Fire? Force? And as an aside, are force objects able to affect inanimate objects, despite force evoke not being able to?

Incorporeal means you can't be affected by physical effects. The force description says it can affect incorporeal creatures.

The spirit is incorporeal (except for holy weapons). The cloaked rider is incorporeal (except for holy or fire).

Okay. Incorporeal by itself is just can't be affected by physical. Spirit adds to that, and cloaked rider is vulnerable to more still. Cool. Thank you for the clarification.

As a secondary, slightly related question... Evoke force is after Elemental Damage which mentions certain elements having additional effects if you spend 2 or more MP on them.

So, does that mean force damage only affects incorporeal if you spend 2 or more MP on it? Meaning a 1 MP force spell, or the Arcane Bolt exploit from Mage that costs no MP, doesn't affect incorporeal?

Or is that 2 or more MP part just meaning the elements that have a specific effect listed? Like Fire having that +3 MP effect, and Ice having the +2 MP / size category freezing?

Just what it says - those effects are bonus effects if you spend 2 or more MP.

For fire, there's an extra affect for another 3 MP.

Displace magic offers a way to affect incorporeal opponents. 'Displace self' for your fist or 'displace metal' for your sword and you can get'em via the 'ghost touch' effect. AND the same combination of skill+secret lets you phase attack regular enemies, ignoring their armor.

Yeah, I was aware of that. I just meant, by default, what affects incorporeal. Like, what being incorporeal means. Russ's answer helped with that.
