D&D General What alignment are you?

According to online surveys over the years I belong in house Slytherin, Ravenclaw, AND Gryffindor. :D

Back in the early Pottermore days I took the official online house sorting.

I came out as Slytherin, Hyena Patronus, and 14" redwood wand (quite stiff).

I think that's reasonably fair, although my political sympathies tend to lie more toward Hufflepuff in Hogwart politics, there is a certain side of me that is "True nobility is a matter of bearing and not blood." I'd make a nasty Deatheater if I ever was inclined to it. I'd also be the sort of guy that found Deatheaters obnoxiously uncivilized sorts that gave Pure Bloods a bad name and who would happily go to war against them. And let's face it, Lord Moldy Warts is a half-blood. Who does he think he's fooling? Only the stupid as far as I can tell.

Tom should have been sorted into Gryffindor with the rest of the uncouth, bullies and braggarts where he belonged. I don't abide with using power to crush the weak. It totally rejects the true values of a freeborn. House Black is barely sane and can't even control its children. The Malfoys mistake wealth for rank. Manners are the coat that decency is supposed to wear, not a cheap disguise to cosplay in. My House doesn't lose its grip. We hold on.

Or something like that. ;)

I play OD&D ... so as a human, unconnected to the cosmic struggle between order and chaos, I'd be neutral ... like everyone else.

Chaotic Good.

On the question of law vs chaos on the human scale, most laws exist to benefit the powerful few at the expense of the masses. Screw that. On the question of law as civilization vs chaos as nature, it’s chaos and nature always. If it’s cosmic law vs chaos, law ends in calcification and stagnation…so again chaos.

On the question of good vs evil, the only lasting, true, and universal definition of evil I’ve found is what they found at the Nuremberg Trials. Evil is a lack of empathy for others, that is apathy, indifference to the suffering of others, selfishness, and self-centeredness are evil. Absolutely screw that, so good it is.

So chaotic good.
