Neutral Good is my favorite (and my RL alignment). I don't follow laws just for the sake of them being laws. No one has an inherent right to tell me what to do. Laws are there to protect people, not to push them around. If they do that, I'll go along. If not, I'll just as quickly go against them.

Lawful Neutral, followed by Chaotic Neutral. Alignment tests usually say that I'm Chaotic Neutral.

But my characters usually drift in the Neutral zone. I don't like fanatics and the "radical" alignments (Lawful Good and Chaotic Evil).

Any evil

I prefer to play some sort of evil. Usually it is Lawful Evil.

What I like to do is play a normal good person with a blind spot on something that makes him a bad guy...such as believing all elves should be burned alive...that elves are at the root of all the world's evils and by removing them we can have a perfect society. ....it's a bit Hitlerish.

but it allows me to play with the party with no problems as long as nobody plays an elf...(or whatever the blindspot is)

Typically the easiest road for me to prusue this belief system is an evil religion. Most of the time it is a religion that favors the strong over the weak...

One of my players and I have a running arguement about evil races. I'm of the opinion that they are evil because of culture and not because of nature. He wants to wipe all orcs, gnolls, drow, etc. out of existance. I find that evil since I view them as culturally evil, whereas my friend does not find it evil because he believes it is their nature to be evil. (in the case of drow or anything that breds with the lower planes, I might agree.)
I usually find myself in the position of saving the orc babies when my friend throws a fireball into the orc nursery.

who's the good guy? (his alignment is usually chaotic good or neutral good)

Chaotic Good (or Neutral Good), guess since it is the closest to myself. :)

Don't really like Lawful and Evil alignments.

Good (BoED)

First post :-)

I've always preferred playing good characters (except for a borderline evil/selfish shadow mage I played once, and my very first Lawful Evil wizard). Ever since the Bood of Exalted Deeds came out, I've *loved* playing good characters.

I especially like a monk/paladin with Exalted feats. :-)

I'm pretty sure my own alignment would be classified as good, though I'd prob be neutral - I'm too lazy to be lawful-dedicated (like a paladin or monk). :-)

I used to only play CG characters b/c it's probably the closest to my own, real-life outlook on things. But recently I've played LE characters to try something new and different, and it was so freakin' fun. Esp. in a basically good party.

"Of course we should divide the treasure equally, it's only fair. Now, I killed 7 orcs while you guys killed those 3 ogres, so naturally I should get 70% of the treasure."

I don't really play much...or plan to. I'm more of a DM, but I would enjoy
playing a LE knight-cleric type, or a CE party-friendly Rogue. Even though I'm more CN with a little Good tendency IRL.

Well, it's either N(L)G, or L(N)G, depending on mood and day of the week.

I'm the same. The only time I'd play a Chaotic character is if its an outdoorsey-type, eg ranger. I never play evil characters (I like to be heroic) and I seldom play neutral characters.

Voted NG

Thou on line tests put me in the TN range on some days.

I want to be a better person- kinder to people and such, so I play the nicer, kinder person at the table, thou RL I do not view myself as being all that kind or nice. Guess I should ask about see what my table views my alignment at- they might have a different view.

Thanks, Silver (you know what for)

I really have 4 favorites... NE and CN are both fun because they give me the greatest freedom to do whatever strikes my fancy. LG and CE are fun because they are so extreme.

Freedom can be fun, but the challenges and restrictions inherit in playing an extremeist can be fun as well. Does that make me chaotic?!? :S
