What are some of your Favorite chars you've played?

1) Caldour Dalaith, a bard I played in a roleplaying-oriented MUD, a long time ago. He was an utter snob, spoke some five or six different languages, sucked at fighting, and spent more time worrying about his wardrobe than about the conflict between good and evil. He was a blast to play, especially as I got to write bad poetry for him to recite.

2) Varl Kadek, a half-elf fighter/duellist in Nightfall's first online Scarred Lands campaign, the Irregulars of Hollowfaust. Varl was much like Caldour, in a swashbuckling dandy kind of way, but had no musical talent, could actually fight rather well, and was good. He was originally Albadian, but as a result of finding some interesting documents, is now a member of the landed gentry in New Venir, spending his winters in Shelzar. And he absolutely detests Calastians.

3) Zogen Feuermacher, gnome rogue/wizard, in Enrious' Warhammer/Forgotten Realms crossover campaign. He was a pyromaniac, a gun fetishist, and a fierce gnomish nationalist, who'd watched way too many Clint Eastwood movies. Imagine, if you will, a three-foot guy wearing a trenchcoat and wielding a pistol as long as his arm, going "The North ain't big enough for the two of us." Then the tavern behind you explodes.

Honourable mentions go to Dyvnal Khaldam, my Tyrran fighter in the same MUD as Caldour and Xaylen Ambedor (Wiz2), my Living Greyhawk character whose life has been saved by both Boccob and Wee Jas.

My favorites boil down to one I really enjoyed playing:

A drow (I lost the char sheet a year ago so I don't remember the name...don't throw rotten tomatoes at me for this, it wasn't my fault) who started as a Psychic Warrior traveling the surface after killing his family and running away from those that were hunting him, he found a strange looking building in the middle of no where. This building turned out to be a church for a god that has recently become a force in the world again, and decided to choose my drow as his personaly champion (this god was a god of mercy... even after a few levels, my drow had a problem with being merciful, but he did try :) ).

by the end of the game (which fell apart when one player got upset at another and literally thrashed his char. sheet), my drow was a Psychic Warrior 1/Cleric 2/Paladin 2.

It was by far, until the end, one of the funnest and best roleplaying experiences I have ever had. It was pretty cool to have a DM that was open enough to allow me to play this character and see what happened with it.

Klaus, my human seer in a Rolemaster campaign.

Juan Jesus Rodrigues, who'd like to be called "JJ" or "Colt", but was always called "Miguelito". He was a Mage in a Shadowrun campaign. He was the best character I've ever played, had tons of personality (I even spoke with a fake mexican accent), but I rolled badly once and JJ got killed. The GM said he was sorry, but it was impossible for my character to have survived those gunshots. Even the other players asked him to fudge the result a bit, but he wouldn't. So JJ got replaced by an endless string of forgettable characters, like Edge (elf mage/shootist) and Thunderbird (thunderbird shaman).

Thalantor - Elven Wizard with 20 int. Was a real smartass who thought that he was the leader because he had contracted the rest of the party. Didn't realise that he was only paying them weekly wages for quests that the rest had already agreed upon doing. Found his demise against a couple of Verbeegs.

Jerome Leblanc : Ranger/Rogue/CLeric, A.K.A. Swordfighter extraordinaire. Was going for the duelist PrC, and had the flair to get it. Considered himself quite the little hero and automatically ok'd to anything a barwench asked of him. Found his end on a misty field against the critically hitting end of a sapling tree wielded by an ettin.
