Here's a nifty tip: go to google and type in (without quotes) "define:term", replacing term with whatever word you want. Here's an example result:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=define:vambraces
Definitions of vambraces on the Web:

* Armor of plate for the lower arm.
home.olemiss.edu/~tjray/medieval/chivarlic.htm

* Vambraces are "tubular" or "gutter" defenses for the forearm, developed first during the early 14th century. Usually they are made of leather, sometimes reinforced with longitudinal strips of hardened leather or metal (a crafting method named "splinted armor"), and worn with other pieces of armor. Vambraces are generally called arm guards, with or without separate couters, or elbow guards.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vambraces

Greves are for the lower legs

Vambraces are similar to Bracers

Gambeson I believe are for the neck.

Cuisses might be upper thighs

btw, Progress Quest rocks. I had a higher level character, can't seem to look him up or log in.

Gauntlets: Armored gloves. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauntlet_(gloves)
