What are you going to do with d20 Future?

Read through it and come up with a bunch of neat ideas for adventures.

Read through it and wish I had players that would play something in d20M.

Read through it and wonder if there's an official eratta doc for d20M and not just have to piece it together from the WotC message boards.

I guess most of what I'll be doing is reading the book and being disappointed for reasons that have little to do with the book itself.

But, yeah, it'd be nice if they had an official one.

Thanks, Buzz. Somehow I'd missed this.

I guess it's not really so important that it be official for gameplaying purposes. It just kinda irks me that it seems like one more way Modern is just an afterthought at WotC. I know D&D is what pays the bills, but it's not like they haven't had the time in the last couple of years to throw something together for the website.

Star*Drive

I'll hopefully be using it to replace my cobbled together d20M/Star Wars/PsiHandbook rules that I have been using to run my Star*Drive campaign. It will be a nice excuse to kick that campaign back into action.

Alternately, I've been thinking of running a few "historical" vigniettes, ranging from now, to near future cyber-punk, spys and psionics, GWI, etc, that would give my characters some cool background Star*Drive info and allow me to do things like introduce psionic, first contact with the Frall, etc.

You mean other than the monthly "Notes from the Bunker" column, the bi-weekly "Bullet Points" Q&A column, the preview excerpts, web-enhanced material, original adventures, screensavers, desktop wallpaper, etc.

I mean what are we missing from the web site? Map-A-Week? Well, considering the demise of Poly, I guess Global Positioning by Christopher West can make a column for maps.

I've got a great idea for a sci fi game that I need a system for. Its a mixture of low-powered supers with cthulu type monsters in a babylon-5-like environment.

I've got a whole new pseudo science worked out for it; Crystal Tech, which enables the hyperspace wormholes to be opened (amongst othe rthings). The crystals needed are found in abundant suppply on Mars, so the earth governments must work togetehr to stop all the aliens from getting hold of Mars. Earth is seriously weak (its only 100 years in the future), but has great resources at its disposal, whcih it uses to bargain with the alien powers and play them off against each other.

The PCs at the start of the adventure are involved in a terrorist explosion where a bomb is set off in the middle of a demonstration of a new wormhole gate which cn be used inside the atmopsphere of a planet as a personal teleportation type of device. The result however, does not killthem but makes them psychically able to manipulate hyperspace.

cheerio,

Ben

The Orionids...

Exodus has been discussed elsewhere, but I've got an idea for a game about the distant future, wherein mankind rules the galaxy under half a dozen racial names and earth is a lost memory.

The game would be about learning the truth about earth and the fall of the Empire of Man. Oh... and lots of shooting, too.

I picture a cult of die-hards (magi?) who know the truth and will kill to prevent earth's discovery. For ten thousand years they have struggled and murdered to protect the Homeworld. yeah... sounds like the guys from the Mummy films and "Last Crusade," but with Very Large Gunz...

26 alien races and 6 human variants... battlesuits... deathsports and rampant free trade... tight costumes for the ladies... :)

I love free association with campaign themes, don't you?
