What are you taking to Gen Con?

Obviously you're taking a toothbrush and deoderant (I hope), but I'm more interested in gaming-related things.

I figure for day-to-day stuff, I'll probably just have a notebook, my PHB, and a MM. I'll probably also pack some select minis in my small tackle box, and I want to get some tact-tiles. Oh and dice of course, and extra pencils. I need to pick up some dry-erase markers (or do I want wet erase??)

I'll probably take my HARP books in case anyone wants to play it in my pick-up game on Sunday, but I'll probably just leave them in my room.

Otherwise, I can't think of anything else worth dragging around all over the place. If Gen Con has taught me anything, it's "walk light".

What will you be carrying?

I'll be bringing the courier bag I bought at Gen Con last year - in it goes the camera, dice, pencils, index cards and maybe the PHB and MM. Definitely bringing the SG-1 core book as I know I'm playing in a game while I'm there. Other than that, I'm going light as well, only to load up on gear from purchases at the Con.

Good call on the Tact-Tiles, I love mine. They're dry erase, by the way.

Too much carp, that's for sure. :p

I'm playing in games for 3 different RPGA campaigns (Living Force, Living Death, Living Arcanis), plus a couple of games of Legends of the Shining Jewel, a non-RPGA living-style campaign. So, I've got to bring:
- 2 binders holding my PCs and all their record sheets
- PHB, MM (need it for my LSJ druid)
- Player's Guide to Arcanis
- Star Wars Revised Core Rulebook
- Thin binder containing the Living Death rules
- Two boxes of minis (because I paint and have to show off ;) )
- Dice, pencils, scrap paper, etc.
- Stuff to snack on, including some Clif Bars and granola bars

Thankfully, my schedule is such that my days are pretty well split up into the different campaigns I'm playing, so I can leave a lot of stuff back in the hotel room on any given day.

Laptop

Dice

Spycraft 2.0/character sheets/dramatic conflict cards (note to self: go out and buy some printer cardstock tonight.)

Traveller d20.

A few maps an minis/stand-ins/counters.

PHB

Perhaps a few other things.

Besides the essentials -- clothing and such, I figure on bringing:

-Laptop
-Spycraft 2.0 + Character sheets for Psion's game (if I ever get the things done)
-Dragonlance: Age of Mortals (since I need Cam Banks' signature to add to many I already have for that book)
-thinking about bring my Special Edition PHB to have it signed just because but not certain about that yet.
-Warmachine Prime (to switch with a new copy since mine is all buggered from the printer)

I need to be sure to leave room to bring new stuff home. :)

I hope to pack pretty light. I don't like to lug a big bag around all day. So I will have a binder with paper and my LotGR character sheet, dice, pens, pencils, PHB, a few select minis and I think that is about it. Probably another item or two will sneak in there by the time I get there - expecially after this thread reminds me of stuff I have forgotten! ;)

I'm surprised that people are bringing things like a PHB and other core books. I figure that's the one thing that will be in abundance at the games (and I pretty much have it memorized anyway).

I might bring Conan or Arcana Unearthed since I'll be playing in those games. I know Varianor usually has an extra copy of AE at his games so I might not bring mine (and I don't want to play a spellcaster this time :p ).

I'm debating whether or not to bring my camera but mine is very new, not cheap, and not very small. I'm just afraid that I'll be treating it like a liability all week.

I'll probably take my trusty backpack with the usual: mechanical pencils, good eraser, maybe a calculator, a pad of paper/graphpaper, and a few dice (not my usually sack).

I know I'll definitely be bringing some snacks like granola bars, candy bars, etc. I'm not sure when I'm going to have a chance to eat on Thurs. :D
