The series where my namesake comes from, Alien Legion
Has anyone heard any updates about the animated version of this?

The only two comics I still collect(ed), Bone and Knights of the Dinner Table .

80's Spidey, especially when he beats the hockey sticks out of the Silver Surfer!

Never got into most comics

FWIW, these are the ones I have enjoyed:

Sandman (only nominally a comic book -- primarily mythology)
The Tick
Flaming Carrot (Ut!)
Herby

Oh, and The Watchmen

Most of the others have done nothing for me.

The Dark Knight Returns
Batman: Year One
Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn

The DeMatteis/Giffen run on Justice League/Justice League America
Busiek's Conan (Ok so there are only two issues out - it's still the best Conan comic ever, and the only comic I'm currently collecting)

I'm rather fond of The Great Darkness Saga, which was a run of LSH back in the early 80s. Very cool stuff. Darkseid shows up, amasses a bunch of power, and mind controls all the Daxamites to go conquer the universe for them . Prettyy much everybody who's anybody in the 30th century shows up to oppose him.

Of course the Watchmen would need to be mentioned. Then there's "The Last Days of the Man of Tommorow" which was written by Alan Moore as a send off to the silver age superman.

For the life of me I can not remember the name of it something Legion, space opera, human mixed with aliens in a french foreign legion outfit, the snakeman was just so damn cool. :D I am going to go mad thinking about it.

Then their was the short lived Vampire Planet - basic sleeping astronuts came back to Earth to find it in ruins, mankind nomanic tribes but some Ancients still control tech but feeding off the blood of those tribes.

Elf Quest - those first years were great.

Camlot 3000!

Okay, it is 'adult' but Ironwood.

Simonson's run on Thor issue 382 (Jormungand battle) my personal fave
Ellis on Stormwatch and Authority
Planetary
DKR
Watchmen
X Men Brood Saga, esp when Paul Smith took over the pencils.
Mark Waid's first Captain America run
Kingdom Come
Preacher (first 6 issues)
Was always partial to Dreadstar.
I'm enjoying the Ultimates a lot right now
Single favorite issues are incredibly hard to pick...the runs are what stick in my mind...too many great moments.

Hand of Evil...was it Alien Legion?
