What are your favorite weapons?

I've always been an axe man myself. Any kind of axe, although greataxe sees the least use for my characters.

"The Patriot" and "Last of the Mohicans" give great images for why I like the handaxe (tomahawk) and dagger for two-weapon fighting.

Falchion, as there's nothing quite like introducing every power-attack with the phrase "Hassan Chop!"

The 3.5 change in power-attack just made the wide crit range even more attractive.

One of my favorite 2e builds was a Ranger fighting with two weapons ... a Bastard Sword and a Sun Blade. Now could he dish out the dammage. 3e made the build more difficult, TWF has more penalties, Bastard Sword needs EWP. I guess you could just use 2 Sun Blades

What, your characters don't all have +5 Wave-Motion Guns? What are they supposed to use against Fiendish Paragon Cybertarrasques - a pointed stick?

For melee, I'll take the old reliable longsword.

Arcana Evolved has an Ambidexterity Feat. With TWF and GTWF you can get the penalties down to 0/0. The Exotic Feat for the Bastard Sword is still annoying however. But if you played a Dwarf and picked up the Feat that allows one handed weapons to be used with TWF you'd be close...
